Visiting Jordan relatively easy because a lot of information can be accessed from the Internet, as well as quite a lot of flights via Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha and or direct flights from to Jordan and all the information can be accessed directly, even we can make reservations online by ourselves .

Also, there are a lot of accommodations, range from budget hotels to luxury hotels are available and can be directly book by online reservation. Local tour operators there are also many and easy to access.

Basically travel to Jordan could be easily do by yourself, especially if the trip would like to be as flexible as possible. Here are the things that need to be done prior to travel to Jordan:

1. Perform a mini research in advance of any destinations that you want to visit, hotels, transport and local tour operators when needed.

2. All reservations in general can be made online even on a package tour payments are made in cash upon landing in Jordan.

3. If you use a local tour when you landed an officer will pick you up and they will handle all visa , customs matters etc.

4. Especially for visas if stay more than 2 nights it is provided free of charge visas for countries that are not restricted nationalities, and Indonesia in Jordan including non-restricted state nationality. Visas can be obtained on their arrival at the airport in Jordan (VOA).

5. For a visit to Petra, ticket for once visit feels expensive than ticket pass for 2-3 days.

6. The best time to visit Jordan around April and May refer to the weather condition . December was the coldest month in Jordan, while the hottest months are June and July.

7. For food in Jordan a little less variety, and can be said to be very expensive. My experience for a meal approx JD 25-50 for 2 person with a simple menu. There may be the cheaper one but the quality of food should be considered quite significant. So for travelers who are less flexible with food may need to bring instant or durable food from home.
